Cill Rialaig, Ballinskelligs

Ciall Rialaig is a former village that had no residents left. 21 years ago the first artist came and stayed in the houses that now had been converted into leaving and studio rooms. A gallery in Dungegan sells and exhibits the work of visiting artists. Opposite the village are two islands, Deenish and Scarrif Island. The road continues towards Bolus Head but ends at a farm. The camera club met at the beach in Ballinskelligs tonight and went from there to Cill Rialaig. The sheep and lamb photos were taken near the beach were Willy Mains feeds them in the evening. On the way home I noticed another fire burning near Emlaghmore. The fire seemed to have burned for a while. The fire engine arrived after 15 minutes.
