Evening near Cooncrome Harbor

 On the 29th March 2012 we picked a fine evening for a photo walk near Cooncrome Harbor, setting out from the old peat factory Caherciveen and working our way up the loopwalk.

While driving to Caherciveen spotted this beautiful double rainbow and luckily camera was in the car. It was disappearing quick so grabbed a few shots. I think its my first sight of a rainbow that gave the full half circle but didn't quiet capture it properly. Caherciveen Marina is a pettty spot and lovely for a stroll.

Tulips, Aghatubrid, Co.Kerry.

The first tulip in my garden. Taken late evening so not so clear due to long shutter speed, gentle breeze and lack of patience. Any info on how to improve these shots grateful.  Cannon 450D F.13, Aperture priority.

Evening at Portmagee Co. Kerry.

A rainy Evening at  Portmagee  and a wet lense produced this lovey rainbow effect.

St.Patricks Day parade in Sneem, County Kerry. Sneem is located on the Ring of Kerry and always worth a visit with its colourful houses and nice scenery.

A few impressions from the St. Patrick´s Parade 2012 in Caherciveen, County Kerry. A quite long parade with lavishly decorated floats and cheerful bands made its way past a good-humored crowd of onlookers under a blue and sunny sky

Blue hour at Waterville beach below the promenade. A beautiful place to view the lights of the village. Photos taken with a cannon 450D Av priority F.8, focal length 16mm.

Rain again at Portmagee

Last night a steely lady and three water resistant gentlemen from the South Kerry Camera club met on the rain swept pier of Portmagee  harbor for a few shots during a watery blue hour. Most important equipment was the plastic bag to protect the camera and lens and the hot port afterwards.

Loopwalk from Glenbeigh on a cloudy day

On 12th of March we hiked from Glenbeigh up the hills to the SW and turned back down along the shore road. A 4h lovely scenic walk with quite a steep part at the start. The weather was a uniform overcast this day, tending pictures to render dull with little light and shadow contrast. I therefore overexposed most times 0.7 to 1 aperture. When reducing subsequently the exposure value on the computer and adding contrast, the flat clouds got a bit more structure and color than they actually had.
