Farm Work with Horses

Two weeks ago, the Irish Working Horse Association (IWHA) organized a gathering at on of its members` farm in Co. Mayo for logging with working horses and the demonstration of a horse pulled fore cart to which various attachments, like ploughs, grubbers etc. can be attached . The fore cart was designed (working similar like a tractor to which one can attach various farm equipment)  and built completely by the farmer and it proved to be extremely efficient.
The organic farm, integrating family, animals and every day farm work offered many most interesting photographic aspects.
All pictures were taken with Samsung WB 750

The logs are pulled to the drop off point

The horse approaches through the narrow walkway the pick up point where the bundle of logs is waiting to be attached to the pulling chain

There is no better life than farm life
