The Highest Standing Stone in Co. Kerry

This standing stone is the tallest in Co. Kerry with more than 4 metres in hight.
It is situated in Doory, Dromid, and can actually be seen from the road- when you know what you are looking for...



Some 200 metres west of that Standing Stone is this Stone Row with two big and two small stones. They seem to be lined up and pointing towards Ballinskelligs Bay.

Both sites are mentioned in in Sheehan and O' Sullivan's "Archaeology of South Kerry".

We went there last Sunday afternoon, the light was not too exciting (need to go back there in the evening), anyway, I played around with a few presets in lightroom to give the stones a bit of the drama I think they deserve...
