Portmagee cliffs, South Kerry

We spent yet another lovely evening with South Kerry camera club. This trip was up to the cliffs in Portmagee via John Joe and Mary O' Donoghues house. They also have a lovely coffee shop, and on behalf of the camera club I would like to thank them for there hospitality and for  giving us the opportunity to see such a wonderful spot. A visit to these cliffs should not be missed, with its breath taking views. Highly recommend.
All shots cannon 7D.

Portraits

Thanks again to our two models for taking all the flash light and instructions for almost two hours. A very interesting evening with a theme that we should continue to practise over the coming weeks. All photos Canon 5d mkII and 1.4/50mm ©Michael Herrmann 2012

The highest mountains of Ireland

Carrauntoohil or Carrantuohill[3] (play /ˌkærənˈtuːl/, from Irish: Corrán Tuathail)[2] is the highest peak in Ireland. Located in County Kerry, it is 1,038 metres (3,406 ft)[1] high and is the central peak of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks range. There are two other peaks in this range higher than 1,000 m—Beenkeragh (1,010 m) and Caher (1,001 m). The peak of Carrauntoohil is topped by a large metal cross 5 metres (16 ft) tall.
