Face on the Moon-Aghatubrid

The Cartoon face

The moon was so low and so beautiful on Tuesday night last, the colour was getting sronger by the minute, it was my first shots with a 7D so couldnt get setting right. Any ideas or tips as to what settings I should use with this particular scene would be great.

Moonset and Sunrise

At this bitterly cold but wonderful calm morning I managed to get out of bed early and up to the radio masts over Port Magee and further to the Glen to take a few shots from the setting moon and the first dawn light.

Night Clouds and Moonshine over Valentia Island

Yesterday a shiny moon and wandering clouds, combined with a warm and gentle breeze (yes there do exist those things even in this summer) invited to  take a few shots from the patio. Pictures were taken with an Olympus E 5 with Zuiko Digital 50 mm 1:2 on tripod.

Evening near Cooncrome Harbor

On the 29th March 2012 we picked a fine evening for a photo walk near Cooncrome Harbor, setting out from the old peat factory Caherciveen and working our way up the loopwalk.

Blue hour on Waterville Strand

Finally, after a long and dark winter, the club started again to go together for pictures during the famous "blue hour" on a calm and quite warm evening. We met at Waterville Strand, near the Chaplin memorial and aimed mostly over the boulders next to the beach across Waterville Bay to Bolus Head and Ballinskelligs.
My gear was a Olympus 520, mostly with a Zuiko Digital 50-200 and one with a 14-54. Setting was Aperture control with f/22.

Fun on the beach in Autumn

This evening we went to St.Finians Bay to make the most of the left daylight and it turned out to be a great evening. The evening was calm, although a bit cold, after taking some pictures of the sea, the moon came up behind the hill and gave us the chance to shoot some nice reflections on the water of a river.
After returning to Barbara´s cafĂ© we had some nice hot chocolates and camomile tea
Thank´s Barbara again for letting us using the place as our "headquarter".
If you are in Ballinskellig and you are looking for a wifi spot and a nice coffee, this is the place to go.
