Old Trees Reenroe Beach Ballinskelligs
Reenroe beach has some ancient trees recently exposed when the sand was washed by the sea. A good reason for some detail photos to show our heritage. Those trees are apperently 4000 years old and were part of an oak forest.
Best time to go is at low tide, with camera, tripod, macro or short telelens works well.
All photos were shot with a 50mm macro at aperture 5 and 9, ISO100 and edited in Lightroom.
Beware of the tide.

Summer Days Abroad
We spent a few days of warm and rainless summer in the Odenwald Forest near Heidelberg and equally fine days in the Czech spa Marianske Lazne, an old resort dating back to the early 19th century.
To make traveling easier, I left back home the E-5 and got instead a small digicam Samsung WB 750.

Evening near Cooncrome Harbor
On the 29th March 2012 we picked a fine evening for a photo walk near Cooncrome Harbor, setting out from the old peat factory Caherciveen and working our way up the loopwalk.

Loop Walk from Cooncrome Harbour
Like Dave we used the bright and chilly day to walk the dogs. We choose a loop walk, commencing at Coonccrome Harbour, Over the Water, about 10 min drive from Caherciveen. The walk leads from the pier through coastal bog areas and woodland with excellent views of Dingle Bay, Valentia Harbour, Knocknadobar and surrounding Hills. Small streams and puddles display a plenty of animals and vegetation.
It was a good opportunity to try out a newly bought 14-54 mm Zuiko Digital glass on my Olympus E520.
