Makrophotography on a rainy day

Today autumn really arrived on the west coast of Kerry and gave me the excuse to stay indoors, picking a few deceased insects from the spiderwebs in our stable and try out my new retro adapter  for the 50mm 1:2 Macro Zuiko Digital with the Olympus  E-5. The Camera was mounted on a Gorilla flexible tripod and some of the pictures were shot with a FL-36R Flash. Additionally I used a small flash lite and a plexiglass to illuminate the objects from underneath.

Rain and Sun on a Trip to the Blaskets

On our way to Ventry Bay we had to face depressing weather conditions and the outlook to go with a boat to an island  in the Atlantic Ocean was not really inspiring. However, after a bit of rough riding, we moored in sheltered waters and the sun came out to brighten up the day which proved to be a wonderful experience at a very special place.
