Stormy days at the sea

We have some heavy swell at the moment on the Kerry coast, for me a good reason to go to Valentia Island and take some photos. all photos were taken with tripod and 200mm lens after sunset, you see the long shutterspeed I had to use. if you go there on a windy day, please exercise highest caution, as the sea is always a dangerous place to go.

Portrait session part one

 

Here are some samples from our portrait session tonight. A big thanks to our models Richie, Siobhan, Maureen and Mairead. It was a very enjoyable experience again and everybody got some nice shots while the wind blew outside. Thanks Richard for the use of the Life Boat Station again. good to have your company.

Our camera club had the first meeting tonight with the election of a new committee and great plans for 2011 trips and workshops. Thank you Richard, for giving us a chance to meet at the Valentia Island Life Boat station. We are meeting again in three weeks time for a portrait workshop with studio light. all photos with Canon 5d and 1.2/50mm lens. no flash.
